Steel channels or Schwellers are a very popular and in-demand type of rolled metal, which has a variety of applications in construction and engineering.

The name Schweller comes from the name of a German engineer who first used this building material in construction.

Thanks to the "U"-shaped section of the channel, this building material is ready to withstand heavy loads. Steel channel consists of 2 parallel "shelves" and one wall, with the help of which steel channels has 2 type "U"-shaped and "C"-shaped.

"U"-shaped channels are channels where the inner and outer surfaces of the "shelves" are parallel.

"C"-shaped channels are channels where the inner and outer surfaces of the "shelves" are at an angle.

Our company offers you "U"-shaped and "C"-shaped steel channels, which are made of steel СТ 3 ПС (ST 3 PS) according to international standards GOST (Russian: ГОСТ).

"ST" - indicates that steel belongs to alloys of ordinary quality. Depending on the content of sulfur and phosphorus, steels are of ordinary quality, high-quality, and extra high-quality. For steel class ST 3 PS and other steels of this class, the sulfur content cannot exceed 0.06%, phosphorus 0.07%.

3 – is the serial number of the grade according to GOST 380-2005, which means that the steel corresponds to the chemical composition specified in the document for grade 3.

"PS" – means that the degree of deoxidation of the steel is semi-calm. Deoxidation is the process of removing oxygen and nitrogen gases from steel. There are three categories of steels according to the degree of deoxidation: calm (SP), semi-calm (PS), boiling (KP). The less gases are released during the solidification of the alloy, the less pores and bubbles will stay in the metal structure, and it will increase the strength of steel.
